Redeemer Christian School is a closed campus available to students, their families, and approved guests. RCS is committed to a safe and secure environment.

• Guests must sign in at the appropriate office if approved to enter the building via the buzz-in system.  All guests and volunteers must sign-in with our Raptor system.
• Students, families, and visitors should avoid leaving valuables in their vehicles when on campus.
• RCS is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
• The use of school facilities and/or athletic fields for non-RCS events must be approved by the Assistant Head of the School of Operations.
• Pets are not allowed on campus. Trained service animals are welcome.
• The use of alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, nicotine delivery devices, marijuana, and drugs are strictly prohibited.
• Safety and security are critical for establishing a learning environment where all students can thrive.

RCS Renton Elementary: 

• Exterior School doors open at 8:00 am for all students.
• K-Prep AM: Classroom doors open at 8:15 am. Class starts at 8:30 am. The K-Prep AM day ends at 11:30 am. 
• K-Prep PM begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 3:00 pm. 
• Elementary Classes: Classroom doors open at 8:15 am Classes start at 8:30 am and end at 3:05 pm. 
• Middle School Classes: Students are allowed to be in the third-floor hallway after 8:10 am. Classes begin at 8:25 am and end at 3:05 pm.
• The school day ends at 3:05 p.m. for all grades. All students arriving before 8:00 a.m. will be sent to Before and After School Care (BASC) to be supervised for safety reasons.
• Students must be picked up by one of their emergency contacts listed in FACTS. Release of students will be done exclusively with a parent or contact listed in FACTS. RCS will not release students on their own, without the adult in charge of them after school hours. 

Afternoon Dismissal Locations 

• K-Prep and Kindergarten students are to be picked up by their parents at the classroom. Students staying for extended care will be escorted by staff and checked into BASC.
• 1st- 3rd grade students will be picked up at the main church entrance. 
• 4th - 8th grade students should be picked up at the flagpole entrance. 
• Students are supervised by staff members during dismissal; those students not picked up by 3:20 p.m. will be checked into BASC.

RCS Kent View Elementary

• Exterior School doors open at 8:00 am for all students.
• Elementary Classes: Classroom doors open at 8:15 am. Classes start at 8:30 am and end at 3:05 pm. 
• The school day ends at 3:05 pm for all grades. All students arriving before 8:00 am will be sent to Before and After School Care (BASC) to be supervised for safety reasons.
• Students must be picked up by one of their emergency contacts listed in FACTS. Release of students will be done exclusively with a parent or contact listed in FACTS. RCS will not release students on their own, without the adult in charge of them after school hours.

RCS Black Diamond High School

• The Secondary student day is from 7:45 am-2:45 pm. 
• Students are to be dropped off in front of the school building each morning and no earlier than 7:15 am. Classroom doors open at 7:30 am.
• Secondary school day begins promptly at 7:45 am.
• Dismissal is from 2:45 pm-3:00 pm.
• Students not picked up by 3:00 pm will be guided into after school supervision. 
• Students must be picked up by one of their emergency contacts listed in FACTS. Release of students will be done exclusively with a parent or contact listed in FACTS. RCS will not release students on their own, without the adult in charge of them after school hours.
• For student drivers, an application form must be completed for them to be dismissed once school ends at 2:45 pm.  

RCS Black Diamond High School Student Parking

• Student drivers must complete a parking application, provide a copy of their valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Applications for parking permits will be accepted throughout the year on a first-come first-serve basis, as spaces are available.
• Campus parking is a privilege, not a right.
• Spaces will be limited to one per family.
• Students are only allowed to park in their designated parking spot. Due to the limited number of parking spaces available on RCS property, students with senior or junior status will be given priority to park their vehicles on the property for the first month of school.
• Students approved to park on campus will be billed a parking fee of $100 per school year.
• Exceeding the 5-mph speed limit, driving recklessly, or creating a disturbance will result in loss of the privilege of parking on campus.
• RCS is not financially liable for damage to vehicles on campus.
• Students should not leave valuables in their vehicles and RCS is not responsible for items. 

Before and After School Care (BASC kids)  

RCS Renton and RCS Kent View only
Before and After School Care is available for both RCS Renton and RCS Kent View Campuses between the hours of 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. BASC provides a warm and nurturing atmosphere for RCS students outside of the typical school day. BASC teachers plan fun activities for students to engage and connect with before or after the school day. 

1. BASC Check-In, Pick-Up and Security Measures: All BASC parents should accompany their student to check-in at the BASC check-in station. If someone other than an authorized pickup person will be picking up the student from BASC, please contact the BASC Director. Your child will only be released to authorized adults (18 years or older, unless otherwise approved). BASC closes at 6:00 p.m. on regular school days. Parents will be billed a late fee for any child not picked up by the 6:00 p.m. closing time (see Financial Policy for specifics). If parents are repeatedly late, their student(s) may be suspended/terminated from BASC services.
2. BASC Drop-In care: Any students not picked up by 3:20 p.m. will be checked into BASC. Families not registered for BASC will be charged a $50 registration fee and care will be rounded to the half hour. 
3. Non-School and Early Release School Days: A non-school day sign up form will be available each month through an emailed link to registered BASC families. Before and After School Care is available for both RCS Renton and RCS Kent View Campuses on non-school days between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This form is used to reserve care for your child on days where RCS has an Early Release or when RCS is closed and BASC is open. The students must be registered in BASC to take advantage of non-school day care and will be billed a separate charge in addition to the normal monthly tuition. Special activities will be provided by the staff on these days. There are exciting themes for these days and the program plans for fun filled opportunities. If there are any changes to the previously reserved Non-School and Early Release days, please communicate all changes in advance to the BASC Director. 
4. BASC Breakfast and Snacks: In the morning BASC students are offered breakfast between 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. RCS Renton K-Prep students who are in BASC in the morning receive a snack at 9:30 a.m. RCS Renton K-Prep afternoon BASC care will receive a snack at 3:30 p.m. *It is important to alert BASC teachers to any allergies that your child might have. 
5. BASC Homework Time: A quiet atmosphere is provided daily for all students to do their homework. We want to partner with parents to support students with unfinished classwork and homework.  During homework time, help and assistance will be given to students who need extra support.
6. BASC Policy Regarding Electronic Devices: During BASC hours, acceptable electronic devices are those required to complete homework. Cell phones and smart watches are not allowed in BASC.
7. Before and After School Care During Enrichment Classes: All students participating in after school enrichment activities will be checked back into BASC after their enrichment activities are over, if not picked up by parents. 
8. BASC K-Prep: Before and After School Care is provided for those students registered for BASC who are enrolled in K-Prep at RCS in either morning or afternoon classes. Daily routine activities will be provided for all students to engage in learning through play, exploration, games, and cooperative activity. A rest period is scheduled each day for all K-Prep children. We will encourage your child to rest quietly during this time. 
9. BASC staff is not authorized to assist your child to clean him/herself in the bathroom. You will be asked to pick up your child in the event your child cannot clean him/herself.
10. BASC Policy Regarding Toys: We ask that personal items such as toys be left at home. K-Prep students can bring a toy on show and tell day, but we ask that any toys be left in their backpacks. This is to prevent the kids from losing or damaging their personal items.
11. Court Orders: Redeemer Christian Childcare Services abides by all legally served court orders. We must have a certified court order on file regarding parental custody matters.
