The Eagle Outlook
Dear RCS Kent View Families,
As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, we are filled with gratitude as we reflect on all that our students have learned, accomplished, and experienced. This year has been filled with growth, perseverance, friendship, and many memorable moments. We are so thankful for your partnership and support throughout the year. As we celebrate our students' achievements, we are reminded of the words from 1 Corinthians 10:31: "Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." May we encourage our children to carry this message with them as they continue to learn, serve, and use their gifts in ways that honor God. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for making this year such a blessing.
Here’s what’s ahead at Redeemer Christian, Kent View Campus:

Dear RCS Elementary Families,
As we celebrate the end of another wonderful school year, we pray that your family has a joyful, restful, and memory filled summer! While summer is a time to relax and recharge, a little intentionality can go a long way in preventing the "summer slide." A great way to do this is to encourage learning through everyday activities. Playing games like Uno, Sequence, checkers, etc. strengthens memory, reasoning, focus, and problem-solving skills. Practice math naturally through cooking, grocery shopping, sports statistics, and other real-life experiences. Make reading a regular part of the day; we'll be sponsoring a summer reading program (see below), but any reading counts! Don't forget the importance of at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day as it is directly linked to cognitive function and prioritizes healthy sleep habits, as sleep is when the brain processes and stores new information. I hope these suggestions will be helpful to you as you enter this summer season.

Dear RCS JH Families,
As we continue celebrating this special season, we are excited to honor another important milestone in the lives of our students. On Tuesday evening, we will gather for our 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony as we celebrate our students who are completing their junior high journey and preparing to enter high school.
As we celebrate our 8th graders this week, may we pause and recognize how faithful God has been. Let us not rush past these moments, but instead take time to reflect, celebrate, and thank the Lord for all He has done. My prayer for our students is that they would walk boldly into high school knowing who they are in Christ. May they lead with integrity, choose wisdom, love others well, and pursue the calling God has placed on their lives.
